Playing with IE8 Beta
Have to say all this hype about IE8 passing the Acid test doesn’t seem that exciting when I see how its working in the real world.
Now. To be honest, I only visited three sites before I felt compelled to come here and complain about IE8.
Two of these three sites (facebook.com and boston.com/sports) experienced some weird css behavior with IE8. Facebook’s dropdown menu’s were not working and boston.com/sports had a layout abortion.
I’m assuming that these are the cause of IE7 conditional comments being applied to IE8? I could look. I’m lazy.
I’m assuming that since Chrome is webkit it will magically work. Why can’t everyone just adopt webkit? oh. well. i guess MS could NEVER adopt webkit. Lame.
